• Supports families and preserve relationships when someone comes out as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender through regular support groups and educational programs. PFLAG keeps LGBT youth safe and supported by helping family bonds stay as strong as they should be.
• Fights homophobia through the Safe Schools Program and work with thousands of teachers, counselors, school administrators, students, and parents throughout New York City to create learning environments in which all students, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, can thrive.
• Improves work environments by partnering with corporations to deliver diversity training and teach employees how to be allies to LGBT colleagues.
• Changes hearts and minds through the "Stay Close" public awareness campaign. Through compelling images of celebrities who share the stories of their LGBT loved ones, "Stay Close" preserves relationships and saves lives by reaching families who wouldn't otherwise know PFLAG.
• Advocates for full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people as the uniquely powerful "straight voice" for the LGBT community.
