Understanding LGBTQIA+ Identities with Dr. Hannah Ellerkamp

PFLAG NYC’s Support Services will provide a series of three free virtual workshops with special guest and clinical psychologist, Dr. Hannah Ellerkamp. This workshop series will focus on understanding the identities of LGBTQIA+ young people, including the intersection of neurodiversity and gender diversity, and how understanding how to communicate effectively can empower them as well as their parents and other folks in their lives. This final workshop will focus in particular on empowering the kiddos with confidence and providing their family with educational options and resources.
Understanding LGBTQIA+ Identities with Dr. Hannah Ellerkamp meets on the second Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ET. About Our Guest
Hannah Ellerkamp, PsyD (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing evidence-based treatments and gender-affirming psychotherapy for children/adolescents, young adults, and parents/caregivers. She has extensive experience using cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy and is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Hannah particularly enjoys partnering with gender-diverse youth and families to create supportive, affirming environments while navigating school, healthcare, and social settings. She draws from her extensive experience in child settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and private practice, as well as her specialized training in a gender clinic.
