PFLAG NYC’s 53rd Anniversary Party
March 11 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
On March 11, 1973, the first formal meeting of Parents of Gays—PFLAG’s predecessor, co-founded by parents Jeanne and Jules Manford—was held in a church in Greenwich Village. Today, 53 years later, PFLAG NYC is the foremost family-based organization committed to celebrating LGBTQ+ young people and creating a better future for all.
We will be holding a gathering on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in that same church where everything started, now known as the Church of the Village, to celebrate our 53rd anniversary with you!
This is a free event open to all ages, and we encourage you to bring friends, family, and colleagues. Enjoy light bites, drinks, entertainment, and stories of impact from this past year.
