–People at the beginning of their journey of understanding and acceptance with loved ones who are LGBTQ+.

–People having a difficult time grasping parts of the LGBTQ+ experience, such as terminology, name and pronoun changes, or community culture.

–People seeking to strengthen connection in relationships, whether that's a family member or loved one wanting to improve their relationship with an LGBTQ+ person in their life or vice versa.

The Coaching Process

1. Schedule an intake session

If you think you might benefit from coaching, the first step is to send an email to our Support Services staff at [email protected] to let us know you're interested in coaching. A staff member will then schedule an intake session with you through Zoom or phone to learn more about you and how we can best serve you.

2. Fill out a coaching questionnaire

If we determine coaching is a good fit, our support staff will send you a coaching questionnaire and waiver to complete. The questionnaire will ask about your communication preferences, qualities you'd like in a coach, and anything else we need to know to match you with a coach. Please note that the availability of volunteer coaches will determine how soon you can start coaching.

3. Get matched with a coach

Lastly, we'll match you with a coach and schedule your first session. During sessions, your coach will work with you to help address areas where you feel stuck, bridge any knowledge gaps you may have, set specific goals tailored to your needs, provide resources, and strategize about relationships you want to work on. You can expect to gain increased clarity, cultural competence, and confidence from coaching sessions.
