Understanding Gender-Affirming Care Workshop

Tuesday, February 11,
6:00–7:30 p.m. EST

We’re opening the new year with a workshop that is in high demand! We know that families want and need to receive more information and education about gender-affirming care, so we’re partnering with a medical professional to offer a virtual workshop on the topic.

Join us on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. EST for an informative presentation about gender-affirming care with Dr. Jeffrey M. Birnbaum, MD, MPH, where he will discuss puberty blockers, hormone replacement therapy, and more. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

We were originally meant to be joined by doctors from Mount Sinai. Unfortunately, they were ordered to step back by the Mount Sinai Government and Community Relations Office, who told them not to present this information right now. The doctors themselves, and PFLAG NYC, are both frustrated and disappointed by this decision, and we are grateful that Dr. Birnbaum is able to step in.

The workshop will take place through Zoom and is free to attend. Please register through the registration button below, and a link will be sent out prior to the workshop. Note that no replay will be available, so registrants must attend live.

If you have any questions or are unable to register via the form, please contact [email protected].
