Building Power Through Storytelling In-Person Workshop

April 24, 2025 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

At PFLAG NYC, we know storytelling is powerful. Stories can create deep connections between people, build empathy, and introduce potential allies to new and different perspectives. Our support groups and Safe Schools Program are built on storytelling and sharing lived experiences, and every day we witness people’s stories change hearts and open minds.

With the overwhelming amount of anti-trans rhetoric, misinformation, and disinformation being spread right now, we want to equip LGBTQ+ people and allies with as many tools as possible to make your voices and stories heard. Join PFLAG NYC for Building Power Through Storytelling, a workshop where our staff will teach you how to take your experiences and mold them into beautiful stories to share with others. Whether you tell your stories around a dinner table or in a courthouse, your stories have the power to make a lasting impact that we’ll help you harness.

Join us for this free in-person workshop on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. ET. The workshop will take place at our office located at 154 Christopher St, 2A, New York, NY 10014.
