Empowering LGBTQ+ Immigrants and Their Families Workshop

This virtual workshop with immigration attorney Daven Ghandi is designed to help LGBTQ+ individuals and their families navigate the unique challenges they face during the immigration process. Daven will empower you with the knowledge and resources needed to take the next step in your immigration journey.

Join us on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. ET for: 

  • A thorough overview of immigration laws, visa options, and rights specific to LGBTQ+ individuals in the immigration process
  • A Q&A session to address immigration concerns
  • Community building with other LGBTQ+ immigrants and their families

Workshop attendees will also have the opportunity to sign up for personal and confidential immigration sessions with Daven—either virtual or in person—to get specific advice for their cases. Please note that individual sessions will be tailored to the LGBTQ+ immigrant population, and only those who come to the workshop will be eligible for them.

The workshop will take place on Zoom and is free to attend.

Daven Ghandi (he/him) is an experienced immigration attorney and the founder of KAZA Law, a firm dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law. Originally from Malaysia, Daven understands firsthand the struggles immigrants face, having moved to the U.S. as an international student nearly 18 years ago.

Through his own journey, Daven has developed a deep empathy for his clients, particularly those in the LGBTQ+ community. His law firm specializes in family-based visas, employment-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and LGBTQ+ immigration. Daven is committed to helping his clients build new beginnings and secure the future they deserve, just as he did.

Daven is also a passionate advocate for immigrant rights, often volunteering his time to conduct legal screenings for refugees and participating in immigration rights clinics.
