Faith Over Fear in Parenting LGBTQ+ Kids: How Conversion Therapy Harms Instead of Helps
May 18 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT
The recent Chiles v. Salazar Supreme Court decision both set a precedent on how conversion therapy is recognized in the U.S. and added to the confusion about what exactly conversion therapy is and what effects it can have on LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
To help you sort through the noise, PFLAG NYC invites you to a virtual panel discussion on Monday, May 18, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. ET titled Faith Over Fear in Parenting LGBTQ+ Kids: How Conversion Therapy Harms Instead of Helps.
For this panel, three experts will share about the misconceptions of conversion therapy while also providing strategies and understanding on how to affirm the LGBTQ+ loved ones in your life through faith. After, there will be time for Q&A.
The workshop will take place on Zoom and is free to attend.
