AAPI  Rainbow Parents Circle

AAPI Rainbow Parents Circle

AAPI Rainbow Parents Circle is a monthly social gathering for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) parents, caregivers, and loved ones of LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as AAPI members of the LGBTQ+ community, to come together and learn.

We provide support for LGBTQ+ individuals and families of AAPI heritage with a special focus on meeting the cultural and language needs of AAPI families. We discuss gaining knowledge on sexual orientation and gender identity, coming out, cultural and language barriers, conflicting cultural or religious views on the LGBTQ+ community, and more.

This group meets online on the second Sunday of every month from 3:00–4:30 p.m. ET.

Have you attended an AAPI Rainbow Parents Circle meeting? We'd love to hear from you! You can leave anonymous feedback through our support group attendee feedback form.

In order to keep a safe and confidential meeting space, you must register to attend PFLAG NYC meetings online. The link to join the meeting on Zoom will be provided to everyone who registers in advance.

Please click the button below to access the registration form, and contact [email protected] if you have any questions about the group.

PFLAG NYC groups are peer-to-peer support spaces led by trained volunteer facilitators. Our facilitators do not act as licensed mental health professionals during meetings, nor do they provide counseling or therapy. If you are seeking mental health resources, please contact us, and we can make referrals.
