API Rainbow Parents provides support for LGBTQ+ individuals and families of Asian-Pacific Islander (API) heritage with a special focus on meeting the cultural and language needs of API families.

If you are an Asian or Pacific Islander LGBTQ+ person or a parent or family member of one, and if thoughts like these ever cross your mind:

• I am hesitant to come out and I don’t know what to do;
• I don’t know anything about sexual orientation or gender identity;
• I have difficulty discussing sensitive issues because of limited language skills;
• I’ve been raised with conflicting cultural or religious views on sexual orientation or gender identity;
• I would like to find supportive and affirming religious organizations or clergy;

Then please join us for an API Rainbow Parents meeting!

API Rainbow Parents consists of two different groups—the API Parents & Caregivers Group and the API Rainbow Parents Tea.

The API Parents & Caregivers Group is a monthly discussion group for Asian-Pacific Islander parents and caregivers about their children who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. API Parents & Caregivers meets online on the third Monday of every month from 7:00–8:30 p.m. ET.

The API Rainbow Parents Tea is a monthly social gathering for members of the Asian & Pacific Islander community who are LGBTQ+ to meet alongside their parents and other loved ones. API Rainbow Parents Tea meets online on the second Sunday of every month from 3:00–4:30 p.m. ET.
