General Support Meetings
General Support Meetings
General Support Meetings are open to anyone who wants to understand, support, and be an ally to a loved one in the LGBTQ+ community. All meetings are safe spaces for parents, families, friends, and individuals to openly share, receive mutual support, and find solidarity and community.
Our discussions relate to any aspect of having a loved one who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or any identity under the broad LGBTQ+ umbrella. This groups meets online twice per month on the second Sunday from 3:00–4:30 p.m. ET and fourth Monday from 7:00–8:30 p.m. ET.
In addition to General Support Meetings, we have a range of other support groups that address particular areas and communities of interest.
Have you attended a General Support meeting? We'd love to hear from you! You can leave anonymous feedback through our support group attendee feedback form.
In order to keep a safe and confidential meeting space, you must register to attend PFLAG NYC meetings online. The link to join the meeting on Zoom will be provided to everyone who registers in advance.
Please click the button below to access the registration form, and contact [email protected] if you have any questions about the group.
PFLAG NYC groups are peer-to-peer support spaces led by trained volunteer facilitators. Our facilitators do not act as licensed mental health professionals during meetings, nor do they provide counseling or therapy. If you are seeking mental health resources, please contact us, and we can make referrals.
