Dates for First Cohort: Monday 7/8, Friday 7/12, Friday 7/19, and Friday 7/26

PFLAG NYC and CAMBA are launching a workforce series to assist LGBTQ+ folks ages 18-24 with empowering wraparound career services!

The programming for the first cohort will be as follows:

  • Monday 7/8 – Introductory Zoom Session: Learn more about the series and get to know your group.
  • Friday 7/12 – Being Queer in the Workforce Zoom Panel: Join us on Zoom for a panel discussion about being queer and having a career. We will also help you go over resumes and practice for an interview.
  • Friday 7/19 – Queer in the Workforce Zoom Workshop: We will go over self-advocacy and workplace rights, and further discuss the previous week’s panel.
  • Friday 7/26 – Graduation Day [Hybrid]: Celebrate what you learned with food and music, and receive your certificate! YMHP staff will be on site to answer further questions about services available through their program.

You can pick and choose which workshops you attend. Additionally, Metro cards for travel will be offered to any participants who want or need them for Graduation Day, and any participant who attends in some capacity will be eligible to receive a $40 Target gift card on Graduation Day.

The only criteria are that you must be 18-24 and LGBTQ+ identified. You must register through the registration button below to participate.
