About Our Guest
Dr. Drew Marano is a highly skilled and fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in gender affirmation surgery. He is a lifelong native of the New York metropolitan area. Dr. Marano received his bachelor’s degree in Music from Brown University before going on to graduate at the top of his class from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Marano completed his six-year Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the prestigious Columbia University / Cornell University program in New York City. Following his residency, he pursued further specialization in gender affirmation surgery as the first-ever Harvard University Complex Gender and Microsurgery Fellow, where he received training in the most advanced techniques in this field.
Dr. Marano is an active researcher with a focus on the social and systemic barriers to and scarcity of providers and formalized training for gender affirmation surgery. He is passionate about providing affirming care to transgender and gender diverse individuals and is committed to ensuring that his patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their transition. With his expertise, dedication, and compassionate approach, Dr. Marano is a trusted provider of gender affirmation surgery for patients throughout the New York metropolitan area and beyond.
Dr. Marano is fellowship-trained in facial gender surgery, breast augmentation, gender affirming mastectomy, body contouring, phalloplasty with or without urethral lengthening, metoidioplasty, and vaginoplasty.
